Duplicator - Ableton Live 12 Piano Roll Tool

Duplicator is a Max For Live MIDI Transformation Tool that adds repeats to any highlighted notes. It is similar to a note delay effect with some helpful improvements, such as control over pitch, velocity decay, and note duration.

• Pitch wrap stops pitched echoes from going too high or low.
• Position wrap helps stop notes from going outside of clip boundaries, creating a layered effect with complex harmonies.

How to get started with Duplicator:

• Place the Duplicator folder with your other Max For Live devices (it at least needs to be in a Max search path).
• You can now find it in the dropdown menu under "Transform"
• Select some notes and move Del or Pch to activate that channel and apply the transformation automatically (if the Transform toggle is on in Live).
• Use Rpt to create more copies and change Vel and Dur to modify the velocity and duration with each repeat.
• You can use negative Del values for notes that arrive before the original, as well as Vel and Dur values that go over 100%. Try it out!
• Check out options for some extra settings that change how Duplicator works. You can preview all channels at once, fix the pitch for each channel, offset everything with a pre-delay, modify the Del time scale, as well as limit the pitch and position variation from the original note.
